In a Victorian neighborhood in Jamaica Plain, MA, two families needed to create a new rear entrance to the upstairs unit, and to find a way to make a chaotic back yard useable.

They wanted a ramp for accessibility concerns, so we decided on a large stone, curved ramp, that both brought one right to the far end of the yard, but which also created an enclosure and focus within the curve. |
